Early Photos of Betty

A photo album was found among Betty's personal effects after her death containing numerous photos of her and her siblings taken during their early childhood years.  The album appears to be quite old and some pages have started to detach from the binding due to the aging paper.  This suggests that the album was probably created by Betty's mother and/or father.   Betty labeled the inside cover of the photo album "Early Years of Harriet Nan Hulburd, Elizabeth Seward Hulburd, Earl Seward Hulburd" using red plastic labeling tape which she commonly used during the 1960's and 1970's.  This plastic tape labeling technology wasn't available till the late 1950's so Betty apparently labeled the photo album many years after it was created.

Both Betty and her one year older sister Harriet are shown together in most of the photos in the album.  Her brother Earl (Bud) wasn't born till Betty was 11 years old.   Apparently their parents, Dutch and Hazel Hulburd, enjoyed dressing the girls up in matching cloths and photographing them.  None of the photos in the album had captions so it is assumed that Betty is the younger of the two in each photo.

The following photos represent only about 20% of all the photos in the album and were chosen because they are the better ones.  Photos only of Harriet and/or Earl (Bud) are not included here.
